Final Warning Ministries are non-denominational, and are not endorsed by, nor affiliated with any religious denomination. We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ; that the Bible is the inspired Word of God; and that salvation comes by Grace through faith alone, not of works least any man should boast.
We do however believe that we will be judged by our response to that Grace;
For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works (Mat 16:27).
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad (2Co 5:10).
...I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works (Rev 2:23).
In the last book of the Bible, the 'Final Warning' given to mankind is centred around keeping the commandments of God;
And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ (Rev 12:17).
Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus (Rev 14:12).
Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city (Rev 22:14).
The Lamb of God
Almost two thousand years ago, Jesus blood was shed, to cover the sins of those who put their faith in Him.
Prior to this event, animal blood was shed, to symbolically cover mans sin.
Each year animal blood was sprinkled upon the Ark of the Covenant.
This Ark was a copy of the true Ark in heaven, which mankind will see, at the coming of Jesus (Heb 8:5, Rev 11:19, Rev 15:5).
The Ark contains Ten Commandments that God identifies as sin.
The animal blood sprinkled on the Ark, represented Jesus' blood; which covers the same Ten Commands that God identifies as sin.
For example, today if we repent of theft we have committed, His blood will cover that sin.
If we repent of lying, His blood will cover that sin.
If we repent of working on the 7th day, Saturday, His blood will cover that sin.
Have you ever examined your life against God's Ten Commandments? (Romans 7:7, 1John 3:4, James 2:11).
God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2Pet 3:9).
Balance between Law and Grace.
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to allmen, (Tit 2:11).
If Grace has been offered to all mankind, is everyone saved regardless?
If a thief continues to steal, or a murderer continues to murder after learning of this Grace, is he saved regardless?
Many would say that as long as they ask for forgiveness, they are saved; but does asking for forgiveness for repetitive sin, really demonstrate a genuine repentance?
Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him (1Jn 3:6).
Clearly the offer of Grace must be accompanied by an appropriate response from the sinner. God has offered the free gift of Grace, but if you do not respond appropriately to that offer, it is of no value to you.
An illustration may be helpful.
Texas USA; Rod, a murderer is in court where the Law requires the death sentence. To Rod's surprise and relief; and for reasons unclear to him, the Judge puts Rod under Grace, and he is freed from his charges. Rod did not do anything to earn this Grace, neither did he deserve this Grace. The judge informed Rod that he would be monitoring his behaviour, and did not want to see him back in his courtroom again.
Grace was given, but Rod's response to this Grace determines the outcome of his life.
1/ Rod is repentant, and doesn't murder again, and lives his life never facing the death sentence again.
2/ Rod is unrepentant, and murders again, and then finds himself back on death row.
Do you think the judge would show Grace over and over again, forgiving Rod of his murders every time it happened?
For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment,... (Heb 10:26-27).
God's Grace is forwarded to all mankind, because the penalty for sin is death (Rom 6:23).
So what is sin?
...by law is the knowledge of sin (Rom3:20).
Whosoever commits sin transgresses the law: for sin is the transgression of the law (1Jn 3:4).
Does Grace cancel out the obligation to obey this Law?
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? (Rom 6:1).
Once you have received Grace from sin's death sentence, do you continue to disobey this law that defines what sin is?
Paul said;
What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid (Rom 6:15).
And this will never change;
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people (Heb 8:10).
And which law is God referring to when he says: "write them on their hearts"?
...written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart
(2Co 3:3).
There were only TEN commands written in this LAW that was written on stone, which is known as God's Law and this Law is to be written in your heart.
However, there was another Law given. This other Law with over six hundred statutes, regulations and judgements was agreed to and initiated with blood by Israel, and was written in a book; the Book of the Law. This was known as theMosaic Law.
TWO SEPARATE LAWS for two separate purposes.
Churches today are throwing out the baby with the bath water. They nail God's Law, which defines sin, to the cross along with the Mosaic Law, which was put in place because of the transgression of God's Law (Gal 3.19).
Attempting to be justified by keeping the Mosaic Law frustrates God's grace;
I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain (Gal 2:21).
Attempting to keep God's Law, by sinning no more, is what Jesus expects of us; go, and sin no more (John 8:11).
To receive Grace, you have to have done wrong; the question is, wrong of what?
Conclusion:
We WILL be judged by our response to that Grace;
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.... (Rev 22:12).
Be very careful what standard you use to determine right and wrong.
