WELLNESS EXAMS
Does your pet appear to be unwell? Make an appointment to see our friendly animal healthcare professionals. We have experience with cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs - you name it, we can work with them.
MICROCHIPPING
Microchipping is a simple lifelong way to identify pets and link them to their owner, and results in a speedy return of lost, stolen or injured animals. All dogs registered in NZ for the first time (except farm dogs used for stock control) must be microchipped.
SURGERY
We offer routine elective procedures such as a spey or neutering operation, and dental work. We have full surgical facilities for emergency and more complex procedures
VACCINATIONS
Regular vaccination is required for all cats and dogs to ensure they remain free from a number of contagious diseases.
FEEDING YOUR PET
We have a comprehensive range of food for pets of all types, shapes and sizes, and can offer dietary advice on the best product for your pet.

OUR CLINIC
The Straven Road Veterinary Centre is located in central Riccarton, and easily reached from all corners of Christchurch. Our staff are highly trained and qualified, and are professional and empathetic in manner. ​
We offer an extensive range of services for many types of pet, plus a selection of premium dietary products, and some toys for their mental wellbeing.
