About Us

NGTC 2018 Ltd

NGTC is a well-known provider of Temporary Traffic Management training and consulting services across Aotearoa New Zealand.

Our General Manager, Jill Roberts, has been with the company for over 14 years, and is well known for her helpful and knowledgeable approach.

And now, with the recent changes to the Waka Kotahi NZTA Training and Competency model, its more important than ever you get well-informed advice on where to start your training, and where and how you continue your training.

Its no longer the situation where you “just do a refresher”, or think “I need to be an STMS”. In many cases you can save yourself and your company costs and time by talking with us about where you work, what you do, and how this could mean an easier road for your temporary traffic management journey.

Large or small company, one or 100 employees – call us now and discuss the training they really need.

At NGTC we concentrate on three vital elements of temporary traffic management.

  • Temporary traffic management training as specified by Waka Kotahi NZTA in line with their new Training and Competency model. This includes the NZTA Warranted roles of TTM Worker (TTM-W), Traffic Management Operative (TMO), and the new levels of Site Traffic Management Specialist (STMS). These also cover the General Worker basic training, as well WasteMINZ Kerbside Collection Traffic Leader, and NZTA’s Inspection warrant.
  • We have the skills and experience to provide the highest quality Traffic Management Plans (TMPs), signed off by qualified Temporary Traffic Management Planners (TTMP) as required from 1 January 2021. With vast, personal experience of the variations of roads and conditions in geography, weather conditions and regional differences across Aotearoa, we bring this expertise to bear in high quality, personalised TMPs to suit your needs.
  • We also undertake a range of temporary traffic management Audits and Compliance ratings. This can serve to ensure your crews and any contractors who may be working for you, comply with the local Road Controlling Authorities and Worksafe requirements for risk management and mitigation.

By focussing on these elements, we are able to ensure only the highest quality of services, assisting companies and individuals to get a sound understanding of the essential information to assist them in complying with their Health and Safety at Work obligations.

Locally owned and operated as a flexible, responsive and respected traffic management training provider, we operate throughout most of New Zealand, and are often able to deliver courses and training the small towns as well as main centres. This can potentially save you valuable downtime, and reduce costs of travel and accommodation.

We always take the time to understand your individual needs relating to the risks and operational challenges you face when carrying out your day-to-day operations.

Our specialists are skilled at working across a wide range of educational, cultural and experience levels. This is one type of training and services where one size definitely does not fit all!

NGTC has also partnered with TTMTC Traffic Management Training and Compliance to provide high quality traffic management courses all throughout New Zealand.
