Welcome to Queensberry Inn - Central Otago's Finest Historic Inn

Originally, in 1867, Queensberry Inn was a gold miners' and travellers' inn. Now this renovated and modernised stone property is an ideal country retreat for those wanting something special and a little different.

The former grooms' quarters and tack room have been carefully converted into a modernised Stone Cottage with ensuite facilities. The Stables at Queensberry Inn (also with ensuite) have been renovated with similar care and attention. Both the Cottage and The Stables are very private and set in the beautiful grounds of the Inn.

Queensberry Inn is situated on two hectares of trees, lawns and garden, with over 300 white roses (Iceberg, Margaret Merrill and French Lace). Fifteen minutes drive from Wanaka or Cromwell on the Wanaka-Cromwell highway it is the perfect country escape while still centrally located.

Queensberry Inn was described in the November 2008 Cuisine magazine as 'the best place in the world to view the Milky Way'. It lies in an area of outstanding natural beauty where there is no shortage of actvities and places to discover whatever season you decide to visit. Or you can just relax, soak up the ambience of the Inn and enjoy the surrounding rural landscapes.
