Mobile Welding, Plasma Cutting, Light engineering & Fabrication

With a built-in 8500W hybrid 240V Power System that can power welders and a plasma cutter along with a full-size 30-ton hydraulic press, pipe benders aboard I have the added ability to Weld-Cut-Bend-Straighten & Fabricate Aluminium, Steel and Stainless.

Diagnostic Scanning and Testing

Using latest Foxwell and I-Carsoft scantool technology and other specialist test gear to quickly diagnose problems such as check lights, engine misfires, poor fuel economy, intermittent faults and access many additional service functions such as DPF regeneration, electric park brake deactivation, service light resets, live datalogger monitoring and others necessary for the correct servicing/repair of more modern vehicles.

Can-Do’s Competitive Prices

Prices listed are excluding GST (simply add 15%), payment on completion (unless prior arranged) and of course for your convenience we’ve got Mobile Eftpos available.

Call-Out

Normal work hours - 7am-7pm Mon-Sat - $86.95
After hours - 7pm-7am or Sundays - $100

Includes first ½ hour labour + travel (up to 10km from start of Rangiuru Road/Waitangi Dairy). Standard travel charge applies if further.

Labour rate - $90 per hour
Travel Charge - $1.50 per km (Outside 10km radius of Rangiuru Road/Waitangi Dairy)
Pre-Purchase inspections - $173.90
Welding Surcharge - $30.43 + special materials if required
Diagnostic Tool Scan - $34.78 + labour

All our service and repairs come with a 12 month/20000 km parts and labour warranty.

Servicing Pricing

Prices include up to 5L of premium grade 10W/30 or 15W/40 motor oil, a quality standard oil filter (up to $25 in value) and a screen-wash additive I swear by. Includes environmental charge/oil disposal fee up-to 5 litres.

Additional oil/parts or special grade oils/filters/parts will incur extra charge with only price difference charged.

No call-out fee or travel charge within 10km of Waitangi end of Rangiuru Road area for pre-booked vehicle servicing.

Change - Engine Oil & Filter - Lube sticker and check/update service book
Test - Battery - Brake fluid condition
Check/Inspect/Adjust - Under-bonnet fluids (top-up if required) - Drive-belts/Hoses/Air filter - Lights/Wipers/Washers - Tyre condition/pressures including spare (if easily accessible) - Drain Diesel fuel filter water trap

Standard ‘Peace of Mind' Petrol/Diesel Service

$279 +gst

Wheels up Safety Check - Steering, Suspension, Wheel bearings etc - Check Underbody oil levels, Grease all points etc. - Braking system Inspection / Adjustment if needed - Cooling System - Pressure Test and Coolant Condition Test - Charge and Starting System Test - Check Engine state of tune /Check for abnormal noises - Lube Door-hinges/Latches/Check-straps/Window seals - Road-Test

Premium ‘Comprehensive’ Petrol/Diesel Service

$399 +gst

Our Standard Service plus...

Premium Front Wiper blades replacement (up to $60.00 in value) - Brake/Clutch Fluid Change (normally $60.00), recommended every 2 years - Diagnostic Scan (worth $30.00)

I’m Dane Hamilton, owner-operator of Can-Do Mobile Mechanic. With my combination of skills, which I’ve gained over the years, and a unique hand-built custom service vehicle I’ll help keep the district moving forward.

23 years+ experience

With 23 years+ experience in the automotive/mechanical engineering industry including engineering & field service, truck shop, hire centre, auto electrical, emergency service vehicle maintenance, authorised WOF inspector and new vehicle dealership roles, I have acquired a wide range of skills, knowledge and tools invaluable to be able to quickly diagnose and repair your vehicles at competitive prices.

Many years of in-depth multi-franchise dealership training (including Common-rail diesel, Engine management, Safety systems & Rotary RX8) since 2001 has kept me completely up to date with the latest technology and safety systems found in vehicles these days, so you can be assured that your vehicle is in good hands.

Motorsports

Motorsport has also played a big part in my life with involvement in Classic/Targa/Rally/Drift race car preparation and service crew work including being a lead mechanic for a national rally championship winning rally team.
