CSS 3

Gold CSS badge on StackOverflow (top 0.000012% worldwide). Strong knowledge of CSS variables, pseudo-selectors, specificity, flexbox, complex selectors and calculation-driven values. Familiarity with both Less and SASS, along with Stylus and BEM.

Development of dozens of interactive solar applications for companies such as NextEra and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management. Development of dozens of interactive 3D mining applications for multinational corporations Anglo American, De Beers and Rio Tinto. Single-handedly responsible for deployment and monitoring of all applications. Asked by the CEO to personally manage all company cybersecurity.

Featuring a custom-built RBAC and live video feeds, the site was coded in PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, and MySQLi. PayPal was integrated as a payment gateway, along with custom security measures. GitLab was used for version control and issue tracking. Ray White expressed interest in the website and Harcourts agreed to list their properties on the website.

Developing a complex farm mapping application with an AngularJS front-end and C# back-end. Creating a marketing website running on Umbraco, and a supporting mobile application built in Xamarin. Various other tools were built in AngularJS, C# and Python. A strong emphasis was put on testing and security.

Implementing numerous website redesigns in accordance with award-winning design company Kameleon, under request of the CTO. Multiple websites were created on a Joomla CMS, utilising PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, and JSON. Several custom Joomla modules were created, along with custom APIs. WinMerge and isolated testing areas were used to ensure integrity.

In early 2016 I started up my own web development company, which I called Alpha Web. I secured a large contract (AuctionHouseGlobal) through Alpha Web, in addition to finding full time employment shortly after at Ravensdown. As such, the company was temporarily put on hold, but now it's stronger than ever over at AlphaWeb.co.nz.

Contracted to design and build a jQuery-driven registration form for the University of Canterbury Student Association (UCSA). A modern registration form was built with HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript, and jQuery. AJAX was used to transmit data to a MySQL database that was created, with secondary transmission into an integrated Point Of Sales system.

Contracted to help implement new designs for a website re-branding in time for a new site launch. Also put in charge of teleconferencing with Australasian academic provider Hobsons. The website was released in full and on-time, and created with PHP on an EPiServer CMS with a SharePoint framework. JSON was used to pull through academic data from a CRM owned by Hobsons. Redmine bug tracking and TortoiseSVN version control were utilised to ensure integrity. A flaw was also discovered in the Hobsons CRM that was reported to Hobsons themselves.

Contracted to finalise and fix bugs in a Change Management system, so that incoming projects could be handled more efficiently. Hundreds of bugs were fixed, with code using the Yii PHP framework on top of a general MVC framework. HTML 5 was used in conjunction with LESS style sheets. Bugherd and Redmine were used for bug tracking, along with Git and Subversion used for version control.
